Physical infrastructure is central to the development of any nation, shaping mobility, water security, urban growth​, sustainable housing and economic productivity.‍ In Kenya and Africa in general, where rapid urbanization, climate challenges, and technological advancements are reshaping development priorities, Civil and Environmental engineering plays a pivotal role. The Kenya Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (Kenya-AIST) prepares Master’s and Doctoral students to meet these emerging needs by training scientistic and engineers to design and develop systems that are not only functional, but also environmentally responsible, climate-conscious, socially and economically beneficial.”
